    Filipe Santos – Professor of Computer Science at ISCTE-IUL. Research interests include Modal Logic and its applications in juridical knowledge representation and specification of information systems and organisations.

    Guilherme da Fonseca Statter – Researcher at CEA/ISCTE-IUL. Research interests include Economy and Sociology of Work.

    Helder Coelho – Founder of the Master and PhD programs in Complex Systems at FC-UL and ISCTE-IUL. Research interests include Distributed Artificial Intelligence and Multi-Agent Systems: Models and Architectures, Knowledge Engineering, Knowledge Management, Agent-Based Computing, Natural Language Understanding, Sciences of Complexity.

    Jeffrey Johnson – Professor of Complexity Science and Design at the Open University (UK). Research interests include Complex Systems Science, Non-Equilibrium Social Systems, Education, Hypernetworks Theory, Computer Vision.

    João Fiadeiro – Choreographer. Research interests include Art and Science, collective improvisation processes, Social Stigmergy.

    John Symons – Professor of Philosophy at the University Kansas. Research interests include epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of psychology, philosophy of computer science, and general philosophy of science.

    Jorge Louçã – Professor of Computer Science at ISCTE-IUL. Actual coordinator of the Master and PhD programs in Complex Systems at ISCTE-IUL. Research interests include modelling complex social systems through intensive data collection and analysis.

    Luis Antunes – Professor of Computer Science at FC-UL. Actual coordinator of the Master and PhD programs in Complex Systems at FC-UL. Research interests include distributed artificial intelligence, multi-agent systems, social architectures, decision and motivation in multi-agent systems, social simulation with self-motivated agents, methodologies for exploratory simulation.

    Luis Correia – Professor of Computer Science at FC-UL. Research interests include Artificial Life, Self-Organisation, Autonomous Robots, Behavior Based Architectures, and Complexity Sciences.

    Luis Nunes – Professor of Computer Science at ISCTE-IUL. Research interests include Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Neural Networks, Learning Agents, and Big Data.

    Rosa Maria Perez – Professor of Anthropology at ISCTE-IUL. Research interests include Indian society and social segregation (with special focus on untouchables and women), colonialism and post-colonialism in India, fieldwork methodology, globalization and diaspora and anthropology and cinema.

    Rosário Laureano – Professor of Mathematics at ISCTE-IUL.
